‘I got friendly with a mother in Year Four who had moved her daughter from another primary because the other children left her out. It wasn’t long before she was complaining that the same thing was happening again. When I asked my daughter why, she said the new girl always insisted everyone played the games she wanted. If they didn’t, she’d sulk. The other classmates went along with it for a while, but then soon they got fed up with her kicking off and she was left on her own again.
